Each May, the Albion Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Goodwill Donation Drive by bringing a truck to town to collect donations following town-wide garage sales.

In 2023, the Goodwill truck will be parked at the public parking lot across from the post office on SR 9 on Saturday, May 13 beginning at 9 AM until full, or until 12 noon (whichever comes first).

Items accepted:

• Clothing and shoes

• Jewelry and other accessories

• House wares

• Small working appliances

• Linens

• Art

• Rugs

• Furniture in good condition (ask yourself if you would give it to your best friend or relative)

• Books

• Antiques

• Collectibles

• CD’s, records, tapes & videos

• Sporting goods

• Musical instruments

• Computer software

• Toys and games

Items not accepted by Goodwill:

• Cribs

• Baby walkers

• Net playpens

• Swing sets

• Stained mattresses

• Waterbeds

• Woodstoves

• Electric or kerosene heaters

• Used barbecue grills

• Air conditioners

• Used Venetian or mini blinds

• Used rug pads

• Shower doors

• Wire hangers

• Office dividers

• Fluorescent lighting fixtures

• Stoves

• Refrigerators

• Dishwashers

• Washing machines

• Dryers

• Paint/paint thinner or other flammable substances

• Poisonous or hazardous chemicals and substances

• Car batteries or other corrosive materials

• Used tires

• Used motorcycle and bicycle helmets

• Perfumes and toiletries

• Food items
